The foundation works to ensure that nesting beaches are safeguarded from pollution and overdevelopment, while marine habitats are protected from contamination by plastic and other pollutants.

The foundation’s vision is to create a future where sea turtles and their environments are sustainably protected, ensuring that they remain safe from the dangers of extinction and destruction. By collaborating with local communities at its project sites, the Turtle Foundation aims to foster conditions in which both sea turtles and people can coexist and thrive. Through its global efforts, the organization strives to make a lasting impact on sea turtle conservation, preserving these species and their ecosystems for future generations.

Cape Verdean Association UK

The Cape Verdean Association UK is a non-profit organization formed by Cape Verdeans living in England to provide support to disadvantaged members of their community. Although it primarily focuses on Cape Verdeans in the UK, its efforts may also extend to others in need. 

The association’s main objectives are to promote social inclusion for the public benefit and to help those facing challenges integrate more easily into society. Through these initiatives, the group aims to relieve the needs of vulnerable individuals and support their integration, fostering a sense of community and belonging for Cape Verdeans in the UK.  

Cape Verdean Association of Brockton, Inc

The Cape Verdean Association of Brockton, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Cape Verdean community and others in the greater Brockton area. As a 501(c)(3) entity, its mission focuses on offering education, health, civic, social, and human services to local residents. The organization prioritizes meeting the needs of Cape Verdeans but extends its services to all individuals in the region. 

The association places particular emphasis on assisting both youth and the elderly, aiming to address their specific needs and improve their quality of life. By uniting the community through various support initiatives, the organization seeks to strengthen social ties and provide crucial resources. Their broad scope of services ensures that community members have access to necessary educational and health-related support, as well as other forms of assistance. Ultimately, the association’s work is driven by a desire to uplift and empower residents, fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.    

CVSC 

Cape Verdeans of Southern California (CVSC) was founded on November 14, 1982, when a small group gathered to identify the number of Caboverdianos in the Greater Los Angeles area and explore forming a community group. Over 25 years later, CVSC has grown into an influential organization supporting Cape Verdeans throughout Southern California and the Diaspora. The group, funded by its members and local supporters from both Cape Verdean and non-Cape Verdean backgrounds, serves communities in the Greater Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, and San Diego counties.

CVSC promotes fellowship through community events, raises funds, and provides scholarships to help students advance their education. Additionally, the organization preserves and shares Cabo Verdean culture with the local diaspora. Through these efforts, CVSC continues to foster a strong sense of community and cultural identity among Cape Verdeans in Southern California.
