The school officially opened on May 14, 2021, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. It has been handed over to the national minister of education, who will provide funding for four full-time teachers, a headmaster, and an administrative team.

Frontline Children plans to continue supporting the school and the As Eyla region by facilitating regular educational visits for young people and volunteers from the UK, ensuring ongoing educational opportunities and engagement with the community.
