Franciscan Charities, established in 2004 by Brother Paul Miller, OFS, is a Newark-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing the critical needs of the city’s most vulnerable populations. Operating primarily in Newark’s Central Ward, the organization offers a range of services, including a soup kitchen that serves over 100,000 hot, nutritious meals annually, a food pantry, and distribution of personal hygiene items. 

Their Child and Family Services Program provides essentials such as diapers, formula, baby wipes, clothing, and infant care products, as well as feminine hygiene products for women and teenage girls.  

Victoria Foundation

Victoria Foundation, based in Newark, is a non-profit organization committed to creating positive change in its community. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark is a non-profit organization dedicated to building affordable homes for low-to-moderate-income families across Essex, Hudson, and Union Counties. They also support veterans and seniors through a Critical Repair program, ensuring they can remain in safe homes.

Daraja of Love

Daraja of Love, established in July 2018, is a nonprofit organization based in Newark, New Jersey.
