Khwendo

Khwendo Kor (KK), meaning “Sisters’ Home” in Pashto, is a non-profit organization established in 1993 in Pakistan. It was founded to address women’s issues and has evolved into a supportive sisterhood empowering women and their families. KK promotes participatory development, emphasizing community involvement, particularly among women and children. As a leading gender and rights-based organization, it focuses on women’s empowerment, gender equality, and social justice in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and New Tribal Districts.

KK initiates projects in health and sanitation, girls’ education, civil rights, political participation, economic empowerment, humanitarian responses, and climate change. By working closely with local communities, KK aims to create a supportive environment for women’s development and access to opportunities, while engaging various stakeholders to enhance women’s roles and participation at all levels.

Khpal Kor Foundation

Khpal Kor Foundation is a recognized non-profit organization in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, registered under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies Ordinance of 1961. It is also classified as a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) under the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, and has received charity registration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Charity Commission.

Founded in October 1996 by a group of passionate youths and local philanthropists, the organization initially focused on caring for orphaned children. Over the years, it has expanded significantly, providing free education, boarding, and healthcare to numerous orphans and underprivileged children.
